Question:
I have two machines connected through a bidirectional parallel port.
Machine 1 is running Windows XP, Machine 2 is running Windows 2000.
Machine 1 is running experimental software called E-Prime and is randomly displaying pictures.
Machine 2 is running other software and collecting a data stream, such as heart rate.
Can I get Machine 1 to trigger Machine 2 to press a key (e.g. F2) to mark the data stream at the onset of the pictures?
You can write simple Writeport commands in E-prime (Machine 1) to send triggers to the parrallel port of Machine 2, but there's nothing to accept it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im thinking that there has to be a way to get the two machines to communicate with each other.
Thanks.
