At my local I have a computer connected to equipment via a serial port. This computer is connected to the internet. I would like to set up a system whereby I can, at a remote PC on the intenet, enter data into text fields on a web page, and have that data output at the serial port to control the equipment. The equipment will output data to the serial port and I would like to have that data displayed on the screen at the remote PC. All hardware is in place and ready to run. Now I just need to link the data field on the web page to the serial port on my local PC to drive the equipment. I want to log onto my website at a remote server, and then from there access the serial port on my own personal PC How should I go about it? PC=P4, Windows XP, Standard internet server for website.
