Passing arguments with spaces in a cscript

I am trying to run a cscript that works fine if I have a pathname that is all together, but if I introduce spaces... it doesn't work.

For example, this works:

cscript backup.wsf /from:"C:\folder1\folder2\code\" /to:"\\server\share$\SysAdmins\naspinski\code\"

but this doesn't:


cscript backup.wsf /from:"C:\some folder1\folder2\code\" /to:"\\server\share$\SysAdmins\naspinski\code\"

I get the error
"Inavalid parameter: "folder1\folder2\code\"

The script is calling robocopy, that is where the error is happening.

Hi naspinski,

hmmm that's hard :) You could change the input parameters spaces to e.g. ? character and replace them in vbscript with spaces.
Also i would set the whole string into quotes

My money is that the argument does not have quotes.
Inject this into your code to see how the variables are being read
Try to encapsulate the variables with quotes prior to running robocopy and see if the error crops up.
