Scripting AD setup process

Hi there

Im looking to script the installation and configuration of the active directory role on a blank 2008 or 2008 core server. I was wondering if anyone knows how i can go about this. I was initially intending to use powershell but i have been told that core wont support powershell. What framework can i use for role configuration and how can i install a role in that framework?

You can use an anser file with DCPROMO - there is an intro at http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10878_11-6163115.html (works with 2000/2003/2008)

cool that looks like what im after, so you think just build an answer file and then just run dcpromo with the answer file from batch or vbs?

.., if you can get hold of the tutor setup CD for some of the older Microsoft Official Curriculim courses (Win2000 and some Win2003) they have some scripts which to this which you could copy and modify
