Generate PopUp Notification on Windows System
We are in search of a way to provide a popup screen that provides users with immediate information on a mix of XP and Vista PCs in a domain environment. We don't require the popup window to occur during logon, we just need the message to populate to all machines where there is a current logged on user (or not) so that if there is a user logged on, they see the full screen message and they need to click a button or the message to acknowledge it and make it disappear. Does anyone have a solution to make this behavior occur? We do have SMS if we wanted to advertise a command or executeable to make it happen. Thanks for your ideas!

/USERS Sends the message to all users connected to the server.

Thanks for the idea, however, the messenger service is disabled on our network. I am not sure how to make the net send command work with that contstraint.
Yes, messenger is disabled by default.
I enabled using group policy and have had no adverse effects.
