Hey there. I've toyed with RoR in the past, but I didn't really get it 100% since I'm more of a PHP guy. The amazingly pragmatic construction of Ruby is too much for my brain at one time.
That said, I'm planning on doing a little app for a company to manage appointments online. I was hoping someone could give me a rough outline of what I should look into with Ruby on Rails. I don't expect a step-by-step guide, just a sort of rough intro to the things I'll use to handle something like this. I'd imagine this would be pretty simple in RoR because of the way the databases are handled so nearly automatically.
I'm still not too familiar with the way data is output/looped. I've got to play with it some more I think. Some brief Ruby pointers would be appreciated as well.
