Conditional dependant loops in Ruby

Hey All,

I am trying to make a loop that knows how to delay itself before each iteration until some condition is true; only moving forward if it is so. For instance say I have an array myArray = ["A", "B", "C", "D", "E"]

Can you show me how to loop through this array and display the character only if some condition is true, and not moving along with the loop until that condition has been met.

For instance here is a very rough example algorithm:

             Loop over Array
{
       if (Random Number between 1 and 5) == 3)
      {
       display character and continue looping through the array
      } 
      else
     {
        keep picking random numbers till its 3
     }
       
}
