Ruby - comparing 2 text files

Hello
Need to compare 2 files (column 1 data only in both files - unique count) and output the difference.
Note: to compare like for like I need to strip out "Availability" in File1 Column1 and "Response Time" in File2 Column 1
File1.txt File2.txt
Col1 Col2 Col1 Col2
aa Availability test 1234 aa Response Time test 1234
aa Availability test 1235 aa Response Time test xxxx
bb Availability moretest zzzz bb Response Time moretest ssss
bb Availability moretest zzzz cc Response Time moretest zzzzz
ff Availability extra aaaa gg Response Time extra zzzzz
etc etc ..............
So - the comparison output file would read something like ......
File 1 unique count of column1 = 3
File 2 unique count of column1 = 4
File 1 "ff extra" not in File 2
File 2 "cc moretest" not in File 1
File 2 "gg extra" not in File 1
