The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Hello.  We have several computers that poll other computers from different cities to bring in scanned .tiff documents.  The problem that we have is someone has to MANUALLY look for these documents.  Since these computers are running in the back and there is not anyone assigned to these computer since they are used to bring files into our facility we all have shortcuts on our desktop to "look" when we "remember."  We get calls asking why we haven't printed the documents or "Have you got them yet?"  What we need I thought seemed simple.  We need a script, or batch file to sense a folder (kinda like a hot folder) and see if it has a document in it, or as soon as the document is in the folder to "AUTO Print" the file(s), then delete them.  If we have to we can use windows task scheduler to run the task since we use that to poll the computers off site now.  If possible we would like to have ONE script or something to simply "watch" a folder. if something enters into it, move it from location A to location B then after all has been moved to print on a network printer (a central printer HP 4100 or HP 8100) then delete the files.  If this cannot be done, is there somethine that would at least let task manager run every hour and if there is something in the folder to PRINT the documents and or delete them after printing?
