The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. TRYING TO MAKE A .BAT SCRIPT

im trying to copy the contents of 1 folder form 1 server to a new folder on another server, had a little go (very new to this)

i tried

//=========

@echo off
set Source=\\server\backup directory\backup folder
set Target=\\server\backup directory\backup folder
copy "%Source%" "%Target%"

//========

obviously my server name in there, it starts copying some files over but the stops. at the top i get

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop>//=========
'//' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

any ideas?
