It's not very apparent but the first post is suggesting to remove the subdirectories. But you would need to get a list of them.

The batch file I have deletes the files but not the folders.
I navigate to the specific directory and run the command del *.* /q and this deletes the files but leaves the folders.
I am running this on a 2008 server standard.
