Microsoft Security Center Script Status Return

Asked by DMS-X in Shell Scripting, VB Script, Enterprise Anti-Virus

Tags: Microsoft Security Center, XP

This is a tough one I am not sure if it can be done or not. I googled for a while without any results. Here is the situation. I am creating a script to deploy antivirus to about 1500 workstations. In my script I would like to be able to check the status of the Security Center for any existing antivirus that may be installed before my installer for the antivirus runs. The security center by default is suppose to monitor the status of the AV that is installed. I would like to make a call to the security center some how and report either a yes or a no on the status of any installed AV. Is this at all possible?Start Free Trial
