Correct my shell script.

Hi Experts,
This is the content my script As I am a beginner on this, I need some changes in the script for the following output. This I followed with one of the Omarfarid script which he had written for me.

What I want is when the wrong file name is provided to the script to split the file, the script should  exit and should not creates a blank file. When the wrong file name is entered the script should exit without creating the file.
