Scripting :securely copying files to mulitple servers  - automated

Hi All:
Not sure if this can be done, however here is my situation.
We have several servers, that require the same conf file on each.  And rather than editing the conf file individually on each server, I would like to scirpt it - securely.  I am new to Linux and just learning the scirpting.  Is there a way of doing this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
