Hi Experts,

HP-UX  B.11.11 U

I'm hoping someone can really help me with this as follows.

Basically I need this.

1. I want to extract from the logfile,  24 hours all the messages which were delivered on the first attempt = X
2. Estimate the percentage of the messages delivered on the first attempt
3. Calculate the average time between the deliveries and submit times for those X attempts.

Two logfiles will cover one 24 hour period

Day1 & Day2

the data conatined within the each log will be in the following format, the code bellow is one line of code, i'll attach it in a txt file also.  Basically I could have a milliion of these in each file.  I'll explain the format of each line in the text file also.
