There are a couple of reasons why this might happen:
1. You are almost out of disk space. (most likely)
2. You have an application running in the background which is constantly deleting temp files it thinks you no longer need. (least likely)
3. You deleted the file yourself. (possible, but I doubt it)
VB needs the temp files it creates _while_it_is_running_. You can delete vbxx.tmp (all of them) after you close VB.
