The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. File Exist & ini READ/WRITE NON API

I have an app with two command buttons(cmd1, & cmd2), when I click on either button, I would like it to do two things.  

1.)  Check to see if file "c:\windows\stp.ini" Exist.

2.)  Write a value depending on which cmdButton was pushed to the       "c:\windows\stp.ini"  
   
The key value I want to change is "MS11B", it is written in two different areas of the fil.  Look at the sample ini file, on line 3 and on the last line.

When cmd1 is clicked, I want to change the value of those two entrys to be "MS11A", and when cmd2 is clicked, I want it to write/ or overwrite "MS11B"
with "MS11B"


**** I almost forgot, the first entry must be uppercase and the second entry is lower case, it is case sensitive.


***********Sequence of events*****************

1. form load = check for ini file, if false, msgbox, and exit

2. cmd1_click event would write "MS11A" or cmd2_click would write "MS11B"

3.  This will be in two seperate lines of the .ini file which can change over time so don't reference them by their line number.  Please do this NON Api if possible.
