I am developing an Inventory project using Visual Basic and keeping records in mdb format.
i created database using ms-access
When it compile to exe or creating distribution, I could not integrate mdb file with Vb exe.
i want only my programe can access the database but i am unable to do so, after installation, database is still accessable from Ms-access.
if u have solution pl. give me details code and procedure.

so, you are compiling your MSAccess project into a .exe file? I have found it easier to distribute my apps in .mdb format.
To secure => Whenever I distribute my apps that use Access Db's, I add a database userid and password to the database. I change my connection string, and I distribute the .mdb file. For most solutions, this is secure enough. (DB passwords can be cracked.)
You should definitely create a userid and password table in your MDB file and then force the user to logon using your VB app, and only then give them access to the database. It would also be a good idea to encrypt the passwords that you store in the userid/password table.
But, you should also then setup a database password so that if somebody attempts to open up the database directly through MSACCESS they are then asked for the database password.
You will then need to use this database password when accessing the database from your VB app too.

I see your point, however, you should always try to be more specific with your questions.
Your original question was that you had an MDB database, but did not want it accessible from MSACCESS - the only way to do that is to password protect it.
Which is the solution I gave.
Please be careful with the Grade you give as if Experts notice (and they always do) that you constantly give low grades they are going to be unwilling to help you.
