An ImageList has the two properties
UseMaskColor (True/False)
MaskColor (RGB-color)

With the MaskColor Property you can set the color which should be transparent
--->  ImageList1.MaskColor=&H00FFFFFF&

MSDN:
MaskColor Property:
Returns or sets a color in a button’s picture to be a “mask” (that is, transparent).

by: NinibiniPosted on 2000-11-21 at 23:35:19ID: 5496402

what do you mean?
all buttons will have the same size, which is set by choosing the image size in the image list (16*16,32*32,48*48 or userdefined)

if you want the images/graphics the same size, do this with a graphic program

choroque..

Please explain to us what was lacking in Ninibini's very correct Answer that you only awarded it a "B"? Tell us precisely.. what part of your TWO Questions did Ninibini.. miss?

by: choroquePosted on 2000-11-26 at 16:26:08ID: 5581979

tell me something wsh2....

first, you post my question history.... then, you're questioning my grades given to ninibini, which is even ninibini doesn't even complains.... Tell me, what really is your problem anyway?

by: wsh2Posted on 2000-11-26 at 18:21:37ID: 5583560

choroque
I really don't have a problem choroque.. (as I already know how to code.. hehehehe).. <smile>. Frankly.. if there is a problem.. I'll wager a guess it is YOU that have it.. <sigh>.

You see the basic premise of Experts Exchange is to find Excellent Answers to Excellent Questions. Experts Exchange is a Knowledge Sharing Community.. a place where BOTH Questioner and Expert work TOGETHER to accomplish this.

For some reason though.. choroque run Questions RARELY achieve Excellence. Why is that choroque? What did Ninibini miss in the information that you provided? I see no follow ups from you.. NO Explanation as to what was lacking in Ninibini's response affording anyone the opportunity of acheiving Excellence in this Question.

I think it is a shame that YOU choroque.. RARELY seem to ever get an Excellent Answer here. That is a shame.. particularily when you consider you get all this Expert time, energy and assistance for *FREE*. I guess the kewl part of Experts Exchange for YOU is that while every Expert here strives to obtain Excellence.. YOU have to do nothing in return!!! Remember choroque.. your grade is also a direct reflection of how much effort YOU have put into YOUR Questions.. and in the fact that YOU can't even explain what is lacking in Ninibini's Question here.. YOU should be darn glad that we Experts don't Grade YOU.

Hehheheheheheh.. a little secret for ya choroque.. but YOUR Grading History is being Graded.. as virtually every top Expert in this forum reads it BEFORE deciding IF they even want to work with you. Ninibini is relatively new here.. he/she will learn soon.. and I am certain will remember this choroque experience. I mean why work with a Questioner that knows how to get Excellent Answers to Excellent Questions.. when YOU can work with someone like YOU.. right?

Yes.. there are times when Excellence cannot be acheived.. but then it is the Questioner's responsibility to comment to that fact.. as it is they that have the problem. MOST Questioner's do that here.. and have absolutely no problem. But then there is YOU.. who doesn't believe that he/she should have to do anything to help anyone.. right?

Anyhow.. please know that many Experts here do read your Question History.. and have made note of your constant behaviour of RARELY bringing your Questions to an Excellent resolution.. and that YOU feel that YOU need to give NO explanation to those that were good enough to share their knowledge and experience with you.. completely *FREE* of charge.

According to YOU.. because of YOUR apparent lack of Question effort.. because of the Question History that YOU CREATED all by YOURSELF.. ALL Experts (or the only Top 15 Expert in this forum that will converse with you)here have a problem.. correct?

Hey choroque.. no problem here.. <smile>.. but know something.. we Experts don't call it a problem.. we use a different word..  we call it a Blacklist.. <wink>.

----------------------------------------------------------
Just for your FUTURE edification.. here are some grading tips courtesy of the good people of Community Support.

Basically what they are trying to say is:

1) Questioner's, like Experts, should strive to get Excellent Answers too.

2) If anything is lacking in the Question.. it is the Questioner's responsibility / obligation to comment it. This is particularily true whenever a substandard grade or Question Deletion is in order.

Basically what YOU are being reminded to do in this Question and in your future Questions (as substandard Grades seem to be your present mode of operation).. is number 2 above. YOU are perfectly free to do.. or NOT to do this. So don't be surprised if/when a comment pertaining to your Question History pops up in a Question. (If it does.. I suggest you be contrite about it.. afterall.. it is YOUR Question History.. arguing with facts is difficult to do.. <sigh>).

Anyhow.. here are the CS Grading Tips.. do with them as YOU please.. <smile>.

Grading Tips:

Tip One: Always give an 'A' grade unless you have a clear reason not to do so.

Tip Two: Before giving less than an 'A' grade, tell the Experts that the solution is less than excellent and what grade you are prepared to assign. Give them the chance to improve their response for a better grade.

Tip Three: Always post a comment when accepting a grade. Update the Experts and let them know that the solution worked and why it worked.

Tip Four: Give your time to the Experts. Experts Exchange is a completely free site for you. The only thing we ask of you is a small amount of your time when you are managing your questions. In exchange for your time you get some of the very best help available in the world. It really requires very little time to post a comment but the pay off is well worth it when the Experts feel appreciated - see Tip One.

Tip Five: Always post a response to every post that each Expert makes. This keeps the Experts informed of your progress and the current state of the problem. You will never regret keeping the Experts informed on the status of your problem that they are trying to fix.

That is it. If you will follow those five tips and the advice I have given you about managing your questions, you will get the most out of Experts Exchange - The Best Site On The Internet!

Please note.. YOU can grade a Question however you like.. <smile>. Just be advised that if the grade is substandard leave an Explanation why.. and be aware of the fact.. that too many substandard grades CAN leave the impression on others.. that Excellence MAY possibly NOT be YOUR main pursuit in this forum causing Experts to possibly Blacklist YOUR Questions.

The choice is YOURs choroque.. as I was the only one to take a moment to make you aware of this problem.. don't shoot the messenger, hear?
