Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Sending Email with VB6

My dilemma is that when I send an email from VB6 by using MAPI Session and Email Session, the email will be sitting in the inbox of Outlook until I launch Send/Receive event occurs in Outlook, and if Outlook is not opened then the email will be sitting somewhere waiting for Outlook to be opened and hence the email will only be sent then. Is there a way to send an email without letting it go through Outlook??
