Rather than store the image in the database, I would store the path to the image. Then all you would have to do is get path, get the image, display it in a frame or whatever.

I'm not a big database user so I'm not sure of the best way. The way I would approach it would be to add a text or memo field of sufficient length to save the path in. From there it's just read and write to the database.
The reason I would use this approach is that the database doesn't have to save thousands of bytes for each picture but maybe only 100 bytes per picture. In other words the database stays a managable size.
