Need to know the color of the screen at the cursor location.

I need to be able to get the color of the screen
at the cursor location when the mouse is clicked.
It's for a small map of irregular shapes.
When the user clicks on the screen, knowing the color
will tell me what section of the map they are in.
I'm using MS Access97 and an image control.

Is there a way to do this in VBA or is there an API
that will return the color information.?

I'm has been posted in the Access section and I was told to
cross-post it in the VB section with 0 points.
I also increased the points to 300 in the Access section.
