Why doesnt this work!!!

Can someone PLEASE tell me why this doesn't work. I'm trying to make an automated program that when you click ok in form1 it opens form2. And Form2 ' s form_load will run a few apps, and then form2 will hide itself and open form3. But for some reason when form3 opens, form2 is still being displayed or it re-opens (i'm not sure which). I even just made a program with code similar to below just to see if it was just the program, or if this happens no matter what. And it still did the same thing. Form1 will load, hide itself, and open form2. But when it gets to form2, form2 will not hide itself, while it still opens form3.

Does anyone know why this doesn't work? I've tried just about everything I can think of, using doevents, using a loop to pause for a few seconds, putting the code into a sub.

If I put the code in form2_load into a command button it works just fine. But if I try to call the command1_click, from form2_load, it still does the same as before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
