PST file size + how to log off outlook w/visual basic

Hi,

I am writing a little application with vb6

It has occured to me that pst files act like databases, they don't change file-size as regular files, they seem to incrementally change their size each now and then.

This brings me to question 1: How can I know whether a pst file has changed or not? The date last accessed and date last modified will change each time outlook is started anyhow ...

Question numbner 2 is: How can I shut down outlook (if running) the same way as when you do FILE -> SHUT DOWN AND EXIT (exit all outlook elements, not just the main outlook window)

Any help is highly appreciated.
