By the Way, this example and the other posted will allow you to monitor the printer, i dont know what kind of operations you want to do, but in Visual Basic is quite complex to Start/Pause Printer Jobs , if you use traditional methods trough API's like SetJob, is probable that your software at a first view will work correctly, but later you will have problems. This is due that the methods of detect new jobs trought the API (FindFirstPrinterChangeNot
Maybe a good way to make this is working with two printers, one paused and one real and with the spools files. You use the paused one to detect the job and make the evaluations and the real one to print.
