How to register an ActiveX-EXE with Visual Studio Installer 1.1

Hello,

I've completed a vb6 project. The project needs an ActiveX-Exe which i have to integrate in the setup.

I already know how to register an ActiveX-Exe maually:

1. By executing: myActiveXServer regserver
2. By inserting the registry values directly to the registry

But how can i do it using Visual Studio Installer 1.1. ?

When you compile the setup package you have to include the dll in the setup by placing a check mark on the dll when it ask for additional file. When teh setup is run, the dll is automatically reistered.

Hi delcom5,

please re-read the question posted: I was asking how to register a COM ActiveX file, not a DLL library. And I was referring to the Visual Studio Installer Version 1.1, NOT the "old" VB Setup Wizard. Thanks for your effort.
