The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Winsock - Multi Person UDP Chat

Hi all!  I've been working on a UDP Chat client/server.  The server has one winsock control which handles all incomming and outgoing information.  I have a home network of two computers of which i've been testing it on, one being the server and a client, and the other one being a client.  The only thing is, the server only relays the info back to whoever sent it, or if you try to send something from the server it will only send to whoever sent something to it last.  I've got a listbox containing all IP's connected to the server, and when it has to send something it goes through a loop changing the Winsock1.RemoteHost.  It then sends the data, and loops around for the next IP.  I've even had duplicate entries of an IP, and it will show up twice at whoever sent the info, but not at all at the other client.  This is going to be more then a 2 person chat, so that's why I have a server.  My server's send loop is below.  "Lobby" is the lobby to send it to, because I have more then one server on this program, and "data" is the data to send.  List2 is the list of IP's, and winsock1 is the winsock server.
