The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

MSFlexGrid Control

Asked by zzzzzooc in Visual Basic Programming

Haven't worked with the control much but i'm curious about some things and can't seem to find any efficient solutions.

1.)  Is there no way to retrieve text from cells by simply supplying the column and row? Such as GetText(0,0) would return the text from col 0, row 1. As of right now I basically loop through the rows/cols with .Row/.Col and retrieve the .Text. The problem with that is having to get 2 values at the same time and changing them at the same time. I'd have to set the row/col for each one and store the text in variables, then go back to each row/col and switch them. Just seems like alot of trouble and wondering if there is an alternative.

2.) Are there any simple methods to move/switch a cell with another? Such as switching 0,0 with 0,1. I can do it fine but it'd be lengthy (method from #1).

3.) Currently the grid seems to have multiselect for selecting cells and I don't see any property to toggle it. Is there any? I don't wish to change a property which has other effects, just to toggle the multiselect.

Would really appreciate responses ASAP. Reason for the 500 pts.  Pardon any bad explaining since i'm lacking sleep at the moment. Can't seem to think too well either. *imagines the answers being something obvious*.Start Free Trial
