Special folder icons
How can I retrieve the icons of special folders e.g. My Documents, My computer, Desktop etc.? I know how to retrieve the icon of ordinary folders and files by using SHGetFileInfo is there a similar function to get the icons of special folders?
Is there also an API function that can retrieve the contents of the desktop area? By using API calls you can retrieve the contents of a folder. I’m building my own version of an explorer treeview and have the following problem. I hard coded the special folders so my desktop node always contains my documents, my computer etc. But I want this to be dynamic so let’s say the windows doesn’t have a my documents folder or some special folder that is normally not there it will display them correctly.
