The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

How to temporary hold multiple record from DB when the program is on looping?

Asked by CSLEEDS in Visual Basic Programming

in my project, there is a form that using multiple date to check through the database then if the date is the same then the record will be transfer to the DATA(VB component). i wish to temporary hold the record that find because the program is continue to loop until EOF, and on the form there is two date fields that used to define the dates range that used to search through the database, one is the start date, and another is the limit. if the start date is not equal to the limit date then the program will continue to loop. (the date that using to search is a string and the ascending of the date is no problem).  (eg. if start date is 12/12/1999 and limit is 13/12/1999, then the program is going to loop two time, each time the loop happen, the recordset will movefirst and search through the datebase until EOF, if i had 2 record on 12/12/1999 and 3 record on 13/12/1999 then the dategrid suppose display total of 5 record)now the problem is the record that find using the second date cannot be transfer to the DATA. The date in the database is store as text. i'm using the SQL command to select the matched record to a temporary string then only transfer to the DATA. If i dont using the "on error resume next", the program will pause and going to debug. and i using a datagrid to display the record that find, and only the record of the start date is displayed(with using of "on error resume next"). Is there any others component can be used to temporary keep all the record when the program is continue looping? or the problem is at my program's procedure?Start Free Trial
