The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

VBA Word - Creating a Loop with an IF statement

Asked by Alexhomar in Visual Basic Programming

Tags: , ,

Using VBA in Word, I need to create an IF Loop statement.  I've listed the code below, basically I need to repeat a set of code which does the following:  1.  Searches my document for a constant alfanumberic number (5722SSI) and adds a page break. It's a pretty big doc, so I'm looking to report this process until it doesn't find the 5722SSI number on the doc.  The reason I use the 5722SSI is because that is always constant and serves as a breaking point for a page break.  Hope this explains what I'm trying to do.  Here's my SuDo Code:

Sub CPFPGBRK()
'
' CPFPGBRK Macro
' Macro recorded 6/30/2005 by Alex Romo
'
Dim SLIC As Integer

If SLIC = "5722SSI" Then
  N = 1
  Do While Not ????????
        SLIC = "5722SSI"
        N = N + 1
 Loop
End If

' Selects font size and searches for the license internal code number 5722SSI.
' Once the last internal code number is found it will end the loop.

    Selection.WholeStory
    Selection.Font.Size = 6
    Selection.MoveLeft Unit:=wdCharacter, Count:=1
    Selection.Find.ClearFormatting
    With Selection.Find
        .Text = "5722ss1"
        .Replacement.Text = ""
        .Forward = True
        .Wrap = wdFindContinue
        .Format = False
        .MatchCase = False
        .MatchWholeWord = False
        .MatchWildcards = False
        .MatchSoundsLike = False
        .MatchAllWordForms = False
    End With
