With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? Val function

I think I stumped the Val function and myself, well I'm easy! anyhoo I'm reading a string out of a text file, 000092871 simple enough but the
Val("000092871") function returns a zero. as I wave my mouse over the the function in debug mode my string from notepad has about six squares on each side of my number 000092871. I think this is pissing the Val function and me off. can anyone help? Start Free Trial
