Question

For Each triggers a "variable required - can't assign to this expression" error

Hi you all,
I'm trying to do a simple 'For Each' loop through a collection's items.
I get a Compile Error on the assignment line (For Each XXX In ...)
and it tells me that "variable required - can't assign to this expression" and highlights the XXX variable.
Now, I know for a fact that the variable is of the same type returned by the collection's Item function and that it isn't Nothing (I can get to it's Properties).

I've done this numerous times in the past without a hitch, so I'm not sure what is the problem.
Any help will be appreciated.

OK folks,
I wrote a wrapper around the indigenous Collection object which collects another object I wrote.
I don't think code will help but here goes:

Dim WithEvents oPallet            As WarehouseObjects.clsPalletDetails
For Each oPallet In Delivery.Pallets

how did you define the Pallets property/collection, i guess the _NEWENUM function has been defined properly with the special properties?

can you try the loop without the withevents?

Dim oPallet  As WarehouseObjects.clsPalletDetails

if the oPallet is on the top of the class/form, use rather private instead of dim:


private WithEvents oPallet            As WarehouseObjects.clsPalletDetails
