I need a vbscript that will make a 2007 folder whereever there is a 2006 folder in all directories and subdirectories.
For ex.
C:
C:\Test1
C:\Test1\2006
C:\Test2\
C:\Test3\
C:\Test3\Test4\2006
C:\Test5\Test6\Test7\2006
I would need the following folders:
C:\Test1\2007
C:\Test3\Test4\2007
C:\Test5\Test6\Test7\2007
It'd also be great if the code included a way to create a placefolder file in each newly created 2007 folder. Doesn't matter what type or what's inside it.

Either one. The starting point should be incidental, right?. I can always change it. In actuality its a network share that i will map to a drive like R: so it would be from R: and up.
I'm a programmer, just not particularly proficient in vbscript and it would take me all day to piece this together and I just don't have the time. Thanks alot.

So are you searching the ENTIRE "c:" drvive and looking for any occurrence of "2006"? ...or do you want to start at a particular location?
