Permission Denied Error using VBScript to register a DLL using regsvr32

I keep getting a Permission Denied error on this vbscript function:

Sub Register()

  objShell.Run "regsvr32" &  path & "dllFileName.dll"      'Register the file

End Sub

Yes - objShell is set correctly
Yes - regsvr32 works, I can do it from a cmd line
Yes - the dll exists and is in the proper path
Yes - the path exists

What am I missing?
