Thanks! It's a standalone program, and I'm looking to avoid deploying the ocx file with my app, if that's still possible. If no such workarouind exists, I'll consider moving to VB 2005.

Given that the Common dialog controls (comdlg32.ocx, comdlg32.dll) don't ship with Vista, applications which use Comdlg32 component fails under Vista. Is there an alternative to comdlg32 to show the Open/Save as dialog under vista, by a VB6 app?
Note that UserAccounts.CommonDialog is removed also, in Vista.

You have to manually install the ocx in the Windows\System32 folder lg32.ocx
and the run this:
REGSVR32 %Systemroot%\System32\comd
Restart Windows and then try to launch your program.
But there is the time to consider to abandon VB6, since it is totally deprecated by Microsoft some years ago.
