Yes I managed to figure that out but it then led to an automation error so in the end I had to use basebook = workbooks.add and then it seemed to work ok.

The attached code works when it is written into a module in a workbook but I get the
Copy Method of Worksheet Class Failed Error
if I try to run it from a module or form in an add in.
There are only 2 small files in the folder for this example that I am working on.
Can anyone help please

The problem is most likely with this line....
Set basebook = ThisWorkbook
This is setting 'basebook' to the Add-In. To import the worksheets into the active workbook, use this line instead....
Set basebook = ActiveWorkbook
