how to pass values from hidden variables in ASP into VB code

i am writting codes to read one file in Visual Basic and tring to insert some of the values into oracle table. Before writting that insert statement,i want to pass some of the values like "name of the file to read" and "id of the person who loggedin" into vb code from ASP code.
i got name of the file to read in a hidden variable of the ASP code.
My question is how can i fetch that value from ASP into vb.
