create an array in vb6.0

i want to take all values from that select statement given below into an array in form1(std exe vb6.0) and i want to call one function from different form2(activeX dll) and pass these arrays as parameter.
i am getting values from select statement but there is some error in array like type mismatch......database is oracle

form 1 (std Exe)

Dim conn As New ADODB.Connection
    conn.Open strConnection
    Dim rs As New ADODB.Recordset
    Dim field1() As String, field2() As String  'taking values in an array
   
    str = "select field1,field2 from table Where field3='1' and field4 = '16-MAY-08 07.54.15.346025000 PM' "
