The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Macro to Synchronise two Folders so that both have the most recently save versions of the same files

This may be a very difficult thing to do, but I thought I will ask in case there is a solution.

I have two folders (C:\Source and C:\Destination). Both C:\Source and C:\Destination have 5 files of the same name (in my actual problem there are 80 files in each folder). I would like have a macro that will copy of all the files from C:\Source to C:\Destination, provided they are more recently saved than the files in C:\Destination.

To make it a little clearer, five files in  C:\Source  folder are A.doc, B.doc, C.Doc, D.doc and E.doc. Folder C:\Destination has the same five files (are A.doc, B.doc, C.Doc, D.doc and E.doc). Out of the five files in C:\Source, Files A.doc, B.doc were last saved on 10.09.08 and files C.Doc, D.doc and E.doc were last saved on 06.09.08. Where as the converse is true for the folder C:\Destination. In this later folder C.Doc, D.doc and E.doc were saved on 10.09.08 and files A.doc, B.doc were last saved on 06.09.08. When my ideal macro runs it would first copy files A.doc, B.doc from C:\Source to C:\Destination and then copy files C.Doc, D.doc and E.doc from C:\Destination to C:\Source.

So the end result of running the Macro would be that both the folder will have the most recently saved versions of all five files.
Thank you for your help in anticipation.
