I have a VB6 application that I wrote years ago. It uses a Microsoft Access database, via DAO. I have since lost the source code. The application ran fine on their Windows 98 machines. Recently, they upgraded to Windows XP. The application installs and runs fine only on 1 PC now. The same installation process used on the first machine was repeated on the other machines. However, after my splash screen pops up the application just terminates. I do not receive an error message or anything.
My question is: Has anyone else experienced this behavior with VB6 and Windows XP? If so, what was done to correct it? I know I don't have a lot to go on. If I had my source I could put message boxes in there to find out where the program is blowing up. I guess that could lead me to my second question. Is there a decompiler for VB6 executables?
