Browse All TopicsHi,
My code populates a Treeview with a large number of Parents, Children and Sub-Children nodes. Each Parent is a Date in dd/mm/yyyy format.
Is there a way that the Parent nodes can be sorted to the most recent date at the top, without reloading each Parent/Child node?
Thanks.

Standard Vb6 Treeview sorts by string so for dates to sort correctly they would have to be "yyyy/mm/dd".
The alternative would be to use a custom Treeview control such as the one from VbAccelerator and insert the nodes in the correct date order while preserving the display format of "dd/mm/yyyy". VbAccelerator control has a node ItemData Property which you could use to store the actual date as a Long which would be independent of any formatting.
