The webserver isn't already a part of the network. It is in a different location.

Browse All TopicsRight now I am using the below code to upload a file to a webserver using VB.NET. Please note: I Do not want to use ASP.NET or Upload from a webpage. I am uploading from a desktop application. This code does not allow me to check if the file is already on the webserver, it doesn't allow me to confirm upload, and it doesn't allow me to show a progress bar.
Is there a better method I can use? Or a 3rd party function someone has written? Thanks!

Something like this would probably work:

But I would rather have something that didn't cost money, if it exists...

didn't know what you meant by uploading. You can write your own ftp method which will increase the speed of the upload.

You can just use the copy file command since the webserver is already part of your network.
You should have access to the drive/share to write the files, so you can access it directly and do your own checking.
