As emoreau alluded to...when you use this:
For Each ctrl In Me.panTouchpad.Control
The Type of "ctrl" is the generic Control object:

To get to properties not handled by the base Control class you need to cast it to the specific type as shown in my previous post...

TextAlign is not a generic property on all controls (only on some like Label and TextBox). You will need to ensure that your current control has the property, cast your control and then you will be able to use it.
