Strange File Creation Date Behaviour

The attached Excel VBA snippet Kills an .xls file, then opens a .csv file in the same folder and saves it as an .xls file with the same name as the .xls file that was Killed.

The weird thing is, the creation date/ time of the new xls file is the same as the old xls file. (When I do these operations manually, the creation date/time is the current date/time, as I would expect.)
