I need a paricular query. -URGENT

i dont know if is possible...

Note:
i use a tipical ADO Jet conn with source c:\my_database.mdb and table is named Table1.

code of my conn:

Private Sub DBOpenCreate()

    Set CN = New ADODB.Connection
    CN.Open "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=c:\my_database.mdb;"

End Sub

in a field DATE of Table1 have a date value similar 27/08/2006, 25/10/2009, 18/10/2009, 11/10/2009, 05/04/2009, ... ecc
note: all dates are a sunday

is possible to controll, if based the start date 01/01/2000, all sunday date are stored into the DATE field and store
in a table named LOST_DATE the sunday date not found in DATE filed ???
Naturally the last sunday for controll is the last sunday date when start the query in this case 25/10/2009.
I hope im be clear:-)

not sure what you mean, but checking for a particular day to be sunday goes like this

If Date.Today.DayOfWeek = DayOfWeek.Sunday Then
...

you have to cycle through the dates from beginning to end replacing today with current date

if you see all date are a sundays

well, based the date 01/01/2000 to the actual sunday 25/10/2209 the range of sunday date contain:
02/01/2000
09/01/2000
16/01/2000
...
25/10/2209
 
i want to match from the sundays dates in Table1 all sundays date in range from 01/01/2000 to 25/10/2009...

now, one or more sunday date present in Table1 not are matched in the range 01/01/2000 to 25/10/2009 insert into table LOST_DATe the syndays date not matched...
clear now?

for example:
07/01/2001 not is present in the Table1 store into table LOST_DATE, 03/10/2004 not is present in the Table1 store into table LOST_DATE...

1. create table with your wide range of dates: 01/01/2000 to 25/10/2009.
3. create table LOST DATE
2. the query you need is
select datefield into LOST_DATE from table1 where datefield not in (select datefield from table2)

(datefield is the database column name which contains the date)

You can modify the query from http://www.emoreau.com/Entries/Blogs/2009/01/SQL-A-UDF-User-defined-function-returning-all-days-between-2-dates.aspx to give you all Sundays. Then do a simple JOIN to find "lost dates"

I just saw that you are using a Access database, then forget the UDF as it is not supported

If you're willing to use some code rather than one query statement, it can be done easily. Here are the steps:
1. Get today's date.
2. If it is not a Sunday, use DATEADD until this "end date" equals last Sunday.
3. Use a query that pulls a recordset containing all dates from Table1 between 01/01/2000 (your "start date") and your computed end date. Sort this query by date, obviously.
4. Loop through the record set, taking your end date and subtracting a week using DATEADD.
5. If the next record in the set is not equal to this, put the date in the LOST_DATE table.
