I have lost my CDs, but I have a copy on my server (a folder for each CD) including the Service Pack 4.
I installed my VB6 and it restarted it was supposed to continue installing MSDN but it didn't.
So now I get "the msdn collection does not exist. Please reinstall msdn" when in VB6 and needing to help.

your first cd of msdn should contain a setup.exe in the root (for you this will not be the root since it stands in a folder on disk)
When running the setup it will look automatically for installed programs (like VB6), you will see a dialog on your screen when msdn is looking for installed programs)
Just continue the wizard and msdn will be available from within Visual Studio 6
As a note:
the msdn cd's are other cd's than the one you needed to install Visual studio. Are you sure you also have a backup on disk of the msdn cd's?
