Superscript selected text by VBA

Hi experts. I want to be able to superscript selected text in various cells.  The text could range in length, for instance "Sample Text (1)" or "Sample Text (1)(2)" . So my intentions are to highlight the numbers in brackets, for instance (1) or (1)(2) and then run the macro to superscript the selected text.

Can someone please tell me how to do this.

That is an absolutely brilliant piece of coding - makes it so easy.  There only one little problem with it I could have brackets in my text, that shouldn't be superscripted.  For instance:

Nett cash (used in)/from operating activities (1)

Only the (1) in the text above should be superscripted.

Please change this line

.Pattern = "\(.+?\)"
to
.Pattern = "\(\d+\)"

to change only numberic strings enclosed in parentheses

I was also wanting to achieve this in Word. I've posted a new question to hopefully alter the above code to do the same thing in a Word table.
