How do I detect if there was mouse/keyboard activity in a VB program while running?

I want my VB 6.0 program to call a user's logon window ( wich belong to the program itself ) if there is no mouse or keyboard activity after a period of time.
As it is a huge program ( with more than 100 forms ), i'm trying to find a way to deal with the OS, to avoid writing code ( like "keypress" and so on )  in all of the forms
All the computers where the program runs are PC's with Windows XP (sp2)Start Free Trial
