Got new pc and trying to install my VB6, but it will not run the setup wizard

I had VB6 installed on my laptop and have recently purchased a new desktop and would like to put my VB6 on it instead of the laptop. Both OS are Windows XP, but I cannot get the VB6 to load on the desktop. As soon as I try to run setup, I get an error message that says setup has encountered a problem and must close. Is there anything that I can do to get this loaded?
